Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) plans to add new routes and increase flight frequencies across its European network for the upcoming summer season.
The carrier will introduce nine new routes for its peak summer season, which runs from the end of June to mid-August, from its hubs in Denmark and Norway.
From Copenhagen, the carrier will launch direct weekly flights to Salzburg, Genoa, Ibiza and the Dalaman coast in Turkey, as well as twice-weekly flights to Tromsø.
The carrier will also commence three-times-weekly flights from Bergen to London as well as four-times-weekly flights from Oslo to Geneva, and weekly flights between Oslo and Tivat, on the coast of Montenegro.
Flight frequencies will be added to the carrier’s routes to Italy, France and Spain, with up to 20 weekly flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Malaga, and up to 17 flights from Oslo to Alicante.
Four daily flights will also connect Copenhagen and Milan, there will be daily flights to Florence from the Danish capital and up to 25 weekly flights to Nice.
Flights from Stockholm to both Milan and Paris will increase to twice daily during the summer peak.
Across North Europe, flights from Copenhagen to Düsseldorf will increase to five daily frequencies in summer, while flights to Brussels and Gdansk will increase to four times daily, and services to Warsaw and Vilnius will operate three times daily.
The carrier will fly from Stockholm to Tallin up to six times per day and to Vilnius three times a day. Additionally, SAS will increase flights between Stockholm and Berlin to twice daily, while flights from the Swedish capital to Helsinki will operate six times daily.
